Club Med Redefines Destination Corporate Events in Asia

With 70 award-winning resort destinations worldwide, Club Med certainly knows a thing or two about planning an unforgettable event. Recently, Club Med has hosted two successful Worldwide Media events in our tropical destinations, Bali (Indonesia) and Kani (Maldives). We invited key local and foreign journalists to experience Club Med’s unparalleled all-inclusive hospitality.

Bali, Indonesia (4-7 September 2016)

The theme of the successful three-day Worldwide Media event in Club Med Bali focused on family wellness and cultural holiday. With Bali’s lush greenery and stunning beaches, there’s definitely no better backdrop for a corporate events venue. For the event, we invited a total of 142 guests from 16 different countries. Designed to give guests the ultimate Club Med experience, the event showcased all the wonderful activities that can be found in Club Med Bali.

The event kicked off with welcome cocktails where we highlighted traditional Balinese theatre. We ended the night with a fabulous show and crazy signs party at the main bar. Before kicking off the second day of activities, there was a press conference in the corporate meeting venue where guests were introduced to all the new facilities and additions to Club Med Bali. The second day of activities centred on family wellness. Families were treated to a show by the Children’s Club as well as a Dreamland Festival. Adults, on the other hand, had pilates and sunset yoga by the beach. We then closed the night with a circus show and beach party. We closed the three-day event with a bang. There was a gala where guests enjoyed cocktail party and dinner. Guests were treated to a flying trapeze show as well as a spectacular fireworks display at the Buddha space.

On hand to mark the glamorous and fun-filled media event was Club Med’s Global CEO Henri Giscard d’Estaing. It was here that he officially announced a new Club Med in Mandalika, Lombok, Indonesia for 2019. Overall, it was a fantastic event that our guests won’t forget anytime soon.

Kani & Finolhu, Maldives (22-25 November 2016)

Attended by 138 journalists and key influencers from around the world, the Worldwide Media in Kani and Finolhu was a tremendous success. Initially set in Club Med Kani, the event treated guests to a one-of-a-kind holiday experience. The themes of the event were Endless Turquoise Playground and Paradise Redefined.

The exclusive event started with welcome cocktails in the Iru Bar at Club Med Kani where guests indulged in delicious appetisers and cocktails. After the cocktail party, guests also enjoyed an exciting high school pop show and crazy signs party. The second day of the event was marked by a press conference in the corporate venue so guests could learn more about Club Med Kani’s endless turquoise playground and newly renovated facilities. We also introduced the Happy Children’s Corner where families enjoyed snacks and VR demonstrations by the beach. The second day of the event capped off with a Grease Show inspired by the cult classic, as well as, a glow party with DJ Antoine Clamaran. The third day of the event took place in Club Med’s award-winning Finolhu Villas where journalists were given a tour of the resort. In the evening, guests were treated to performances and a fireworks display by the beach. Along with overflowing cocktails and scrumptious dinner, it was definitely the perfect way to close the event.
